No rain Monday or so far this Tuesday. We're getting very little rain for this time of the year. One of the effects of El Niño, according to Mexican meteorólogos. The temperatures aren't too bad. Not much coolness at night near the ocean with water temps in the bay as high as 32°C, and over 30°C along the surrounding coast.

Hardly a tourist in sight anywhere today in downtown Zihuatanejo. Local merchants can only tighten their belts for so long after what wasn't a very prosperous summer vacation period. Banning pets from local beaches only sends families elsewhere. Stupid policy by our local government.

I continue seeing turtle tracks on the downtown beach in the morning, but still have no idea who is digging them up. I suspect some older bearded guy who always seems to be ready with his bucket for when no one's looking.
