It seems that, after a while, old posts here disappear. Right now, the "list" seems much longer than usual. So, this electronically retarded old fart was wondering if the shortening of the list is done by you at your end, or by my computer here. If this still doesn't make any sense, I can send you my phone number.

This "list" you refer to. Does it have anything to do with the stats at the very bottom of the page where the number of threads, posts and users is displayed?
Yes, I toss irrelevant and outdated posts after they've served their usefulness, while trying to keep all the juicy stuff.

You're still not being clear. Each page contains 50 threads. Some with only one message. Others with dozens. As I type this there are currently 8228 total threads with 56,059 messages or posts. I try to remove a few outdated messages each day to keep the size of the Message Board manageable.
Do you view the Message Board with all the threads open showing all the posts? That may make each page appear to have different sizes.
In the pinned thread "Registering & Using the Message Board" there's a message that I recommend everyone read titled "TIP: Keeping up with discussions" that may help make your experience here more enjoyable.
