Looking for a tienda in Zihua that works on cell phones that can accomplish two tasks
1. To transfer my Telcel data from an old iphone SE onto an Iphone 12 mini that has been unblocked (purchased on EBay) and transfer my data to the Iphone 12. I do not know if the 12 can accept the chip from the old SE.
2. I need assistance with a US IPHone SE new this year which is on a calling plan from US. The plan allows for calls to Mexico and Canada. I am not able to dial direct to US whether I prefix the number with 001 or a 1. I am able to receive and make calls suing What's app. 50 minutes spent on the phone with Verizon technical support on 10/12 failed to produce a result.
Some English speaking ability would be preferred to allow me to accurately explain the issues.

Had the same problem with my new phone. You have to go to settings and turn on roaming. Then mobile networks, more networks and select Telcel.

Gracias I was very dubious but your prescription seems to have worked. Don't know why all other features on my US phone; text, what's app worked as usual roaming from Verizon onto Movistar without me ever having to select a networK?
Movistar must be the low bid provider for US cell carriers?
Only made one call so far but seems encouraging. Gracias.

Glad it worked for you. I have Verizon also and I spent a day and a half trying to resolve this problem. Never had any problems until I bought a new cellphone. The thing I was really angry about is that I couldn't talk to a real person from Verizon. Only messaging from many different people.

I don t think I have a permanent fix, but now I know that if I go into settings and select Telcel over Movistar which my verizon phone roams on I can at least dial outto US. Still can t figure out why texts and what s app worked fine?
Not a great situation and I am glad I have my 200 peso a month Telcel phone as well to allow me to easily dial internationally.
I doubt AT&T is any better? I am prepared at the end of the season to just rely on Telcel and kiss off the US cell providers.
We have been getting raped in the US on cell fees for years!
