Ferry to Los Gatos for Mobility Impaired??
Thinking of taking the ferry from the pier (playa municipal)to Los Gatos for the day, but wondering what kind of boat the ferry is. A member of our party is somewhat mobility impaired, and getting in and out of a very small boat, or a boat without a ramp would be very difficult. I've searched for pics, but can't find anything.

I have a hard time getting on and off the ferry to Las Gatas, and I'm not that severely crippled. I'd plan on going to La Ropa.

Guy, the "ferry" is a panga. Your brother likely will not be able to get in or out of the boat. We wondered about it this morning when you mentioned going there. Good Luck!

I would go to La Ropa and have a jet ski take him over. Set up a pick up time for his return.

Can he hike? There is a trail from La Ropa to Las Gatas. It's not too difficult but also it is not trivial. There are some rather large rock formations that you have to scramble over. I have done it with both tennis shoes and sandals. I am not an accomplished hiker.

Great idea!
He's our neighbors brother. He walks on the beach most mornings, but has limited energy and mobility. We worry about him around our dogs.
Don't think there is a way to get him there safely. Too bad.
Anyone have any other ideas for things to do???
