Breakfast cafe
A few years ago we visited Zihua and had excellent breakfast with Pacific NW style coffee at a cafe owned by a woman from Portland, Oregon. I think it might have been near Calle Adelita. Anyone know the place name and if it is still there?

Sounds like La Casa Café on Adelita, which closed years ago.....Pedro and Lorna, from the Pacific NorthWest.

Try the restaurant at Hotel Irma, they have very good breakfasts

There are many excellent options. Use the search to scan through all the posts about restaurants. Here are just a few to start with:
La Terracita (sometimes spelled Teracita)
El Sabor de Zihua (very close to La Terracita - I think they are related)
Carmelita's Cafe (they showcase dishes from Guerrero)
Margarita's (muy elegante!)
Mitos / Entre Zankas (two restaurants in one location -- an eclectic mix of fine dining and vegan -- highly recommend)
A few dozen "comida economica" greasy spoons in and around the Mercado Municipal, some great, some okay, some regretable. (My favorite is Fonda Valencia. Great mole.)
These are all within walking distance of El Centro Zihuatanejo.

Nueva Zelanda closed their Zihuatanejo restaurant when the Pancake House (now closed) opened next door, but they still have a restaurant in Ixtapa. It's location is listed on the map on my RESTAURANTS page.

Definitely La Casa Cafe we were just talking about that the other day……… my buddy told me that when you recollecting a story what ever you think the time frame was just double it be safe
