Greetings! This will be my 4th trip to beautiful Zihuantanejo, my last visit was 2018. In the past I've had no problem bringing my e-cigs thru the airport and using them during my stay. The laws have changed in Mexico, if you vape and travel to and from MX, what has been your experience? I generally don't use disposables, just small pens and refillable pods. (non THC)

In 2022, Mexico banned the import, sale, and distribution of vaping and heated-tobacco products. This means that it is illegal to bring disposable vapes into Mexico, either in your luggage or on your person. If you are caught with a disposable vape in Mexico, you could be fined or even arrested.Jun 26, 2023

Getting 'fined' at the airport would not be a good way to start the trip for sure. I'd rather not smoke, if I can avoid it. Talk about time passing, my last trip down was 2016, not 2018, been far too long. 2 of 4 of us vape, 3 are newbies to Zihua. Bad me, I should have done better research before I booked, but my need to return to paradise was strong.

My experience a couple years ago... I have since given up the habit, but if they find it at customs you will get a 600 percent "tax" for illegal import, but get to keep your goods. No matter how much you have, it will be $3k pesos, although that is negotiable if you're Spanish is good enough.
