Please update me on the safety for a (very) white gringo walking around el centro de Zihua well after dark on a weekday night ? Will have a female companion who is Mexicana

Do you plan to be sloppy, falling-down drunk? Will you be flashing expensive jewelry? If you can answer no to these two questions, you should be fine. Of course, one can always be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
