Cumulus clouds on the horizon this morning were a welcome sight and a reminder that the rainy season is right around the corner. The day's heat has been lingering longer into the evenings. Sleeping under a sheet is not necessary until maybe just before sunrise. We've been lucky that our local temperatures have remained mild, albeit with slightly more humidity than previous weeks. Only two more weeks until the official beginning of our Hurricane Season!

¡Feliz Día del Niño! We hope those of you with children to spoil rotten did so with enthusiasm today. Happy faces were in evidence all over town and on Playa Municipal as families brought their children to celebrate at our restaurants and beaches.

This Wednesday is Día del Trabajador. Treat your workers well and let them enjoy their day. Downtown parade at 8AM, not 9:30 as previously reported, though I expect it will start late as it always does. Lots of places will be closed including banks.

Truly one of the loveliest vacation lodgings at La Ropa in one of the most peaceful areas of our community is Villa Zanzibar, tucked away in the old original La Ropa community at the southern end of the beach a short easy walk uphill from the end of the beach.
