As we run into friends during our evening strolls, many of our friends are commenting on the amazingly mild and refreshing weather we continue enjoying in Zihuatanejo even though we're only a week away from the beginning of our Hurricane Season. It's extremely unusual to still be enjoying these refreshing evenings and mornings and such mild days while much of Mexico, including many inland cities, is suffering from extreme heat. We've seen only a light smokiness thanks to the continuous breezes from the northwest, mostly coming off the ocean. Keeping fingers crossed this continues until the rains start.

Every single day I'm thankful to live in this amazing place with my beautiful family, fabulous friends, and so many wonderful and good-hearted neighbors. Especially when I see what's happening in the rest of the world. For all our shortcomings, I'm extremely proud and indescribably content to be able to call this place my home. I just may be the luckiest Gringo in Mexico.

Has anyone learned who the owner is of the yacht currently anchored in Zihuatanejo Bay? Is it a charter vessel?

Be sure to come to the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" this Saturday morning. They have some interesting entertainment and talks scheduled along with the usual delicious food, drinks and wonderful handcrafts.

[image]Speaking of wonderful, Villas Los Arcos at Playa La Ropa is a wonderful lodging I truly enjoy being able to recommend. As if La Ropa isn't beautiful enough, this exquisitely designed and decorated lodging is a place one feels instantly at home in. I wish folks would simply spend more time in lodgings like this instead of cutting down more of our trees and clearing more land to build more vacation and retirement homes.
