Zihuatanejo's water shortage continues worsening. The rivers are dry and so are 4 of the 6 wells used to supply Zihuatanejo's "pozo radial". Please help us to conserve water if you live here or are visiting. Now's not a good time to be topping off your pool or watering gardens.

Weather experts predict that from the end of August to mid-September we can expect another Ingrid-Manuel type of rainstorm. Maybe you remember back in 2012 when two hurricanes merged on top of us, one from the Atlantic and another from this coast, and it rained torrentially for around two weeks and caused an unquantifiable amount of destruction throughout much of Guerrero. Not looking forward to it, but we'll damn sure try to be prepared.

A little smoke was visible this morning, but not much, not as bad as the other day, which wasn't bad at all, just noticeable. The night was a bit warm until the wee hours, then it cooled off perfectly for sleeping. Amazingly, thanks to our extremely cool water temp, between 23.4°C and 24.6°C, it's still cool enough to need to sleep under a sheet at night for those of us who sleep with our windows open. I don't ever recall the ocean water being this cool at this date when our hurricane season starts.
