Now we have two areas of potential tropical disturbances to the south of us, though I still don't believe they will affect us, but the rains are getting closer as the heat ratchets up. And today was once again just a tad warmer than the previous day. So far we've been lucky with the smoke from the fires. They've caused quite a bit of problems further southeast of us. Acapulco and Chilpancingo have had many terrible days of smokiness with huge fires burning around them. Here the breezes off the ocean have kept our skies mostly clear. Keeping fingers crossed.

The water temperature is once again nudging itself upwards, this Thursday reaching 26°C. Almost warm enough for hurricane weather. Quite a few folks were enjoying the calm waters of Zihuatanejo Bay throughout the day and into the early evening. Now's the best time for swimming before the rains start.

Now is a wonderful time of year to visit Zihuatanejo when prices are low and there are no crowds except on weekends, and even then they aren't very bad. Our weather remains perfect. Our wonderful restaurants continue serving their delicious fare, and mangos are plentiful!

Tres hermosos atunes de aleta amarilla que unos trabajadores llevaban desde el área de los pescadores en la playa hacia una camioneta ayer por el anochecer. Es uno de los pescados preferidos para comer entre la gente de Zihuatanejo.
