Well, it sprinkled last night in some places, rained a bit in others, but downtown it was more like barely a mist passed quickly by. Some of the places where it rained also lost power as did some places where it didn't rain. This Tuesday was a bit warmer and more humid, but so far no rain reported in the region, but it is certainly on its way. Later this week things should get quite interesting.
Lots of small lisa continue schooling along the shoreline in the crystal clear water along Playa Principal. It's quite a spectacle to behold. From the pier this evening I watched a pelican try over and over again to catch some, finally giving up and flying off in search of other fish before dark fell. Only some cormorants swimming among the surf seemed to be having any luck.
Either from the rain or from the dredging that's about to begin in Laguna Las Salinas, water quality in the bay is about to suffer, so enjoy these final days of delightful swimming.
Fishermen continue bringing in tuna, and we enjoyed a nice tuna steak for la comida today. Dorado and sailfish are also being caught, so at least we're eating well locally. I feel sorry for folks who live on fast food joints. Been there, done that, don't miss it at all.
If you think you could stand waking up every day to the scene in the photo to the right (click on the photo), then Kokopeli in Troncones is the place where you should spend your vacation. This is a 3BR vacation home with a pool and plenty of privacy located right on the beach within easy walking distance of the village as well as several stores and restaurants. Location, location, location!
