ZIHudad Bueno y Bonito
The weather folks now say maybe this Sunday we'll get some rain in our region as onda tropical #12 moves through. Hope so! We need it! Our weather has been on the warm side, and plants on the hillsides are starting to wilt since it hasn't rained for a while.
It's another lovely Friday evening in Plaza del Artista with beautiful people dancing to romantic danzón music, one of Zihuatanejo's older traditions that's still practiced. Come watch, learn and participate if you're so inclined. These are warm and friendly people who will be happy to teach you and dance with you. I'm still trying to learn the moves. It's not a hip shaking dance, and I have a hard time dancing without doing James Brown stuff.
Don't forget to come to the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" this Saturday morning from 9AM to 1:30PM. Lots of good food, drinks, arts, crafts, and music all brought to you by some of the best people around. It's always a good time!
The downtown beach was full again today with families having a wonderful time sunning, relaxing and swimming in our calm bay. The small waves weren't a problem for anyone.
Imagine waking up here in the mornings, at one of the bungalows at Casa Ki on the beach in Troncones, a peaceful remote tropical village on the warm and friendly southern coast of Mexico: a place where natural beauty still rules and times seems to slow down and stretch out at the same time. A place where stress simply doesn't factor into one's daily routine.

Un día de verano típico en la bahía de Zihuatanejo. ¡Absolutamente espectacular!
