Zihuatanejo almost seemed like a ghost town today unless you went shopping. The markets were doing a booming business as it seemed everyone went to do their shopping at the same time after the long holiday weekend. Most of the waterfront restaurants were closed as were many of the shops. From now until the end of November it will be more or less like it is now. We'll mostly only see a few weekend visitors with little to no money to spend. Our annual belt-tightening period that begins with Septihambre.

We enjoyed yet another absolutely picture-postcard-perfect day of exceptional weather. Calm water, light breezes, plenty of sunshine, plenty of cool refreshments, fresh fish, fresh fruit, no lines at any restaurants, happy smiling faces everywhere. My goodness, I don't know how we stand it.

Now is a perfect time to be here. Amazingly the water remains quite clear for this time of year since we've hardly had any rains. Lots of availabilities and low prices at many of our amazing lodgings.

[image]If you enjoy spectacular views and balmy breezes, you'll LOVE La Casa Roja on Cerro El Almacén with two comfortable suites. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with a king-size and twin beds, full kitchen, private bath, and 2 terraces. The lower level also has 2 bedrooms with a king-size and twin beds, full kitchen, 2 baths, and a terrace. A peaceful place within easy walking distance of downtown and nearby restaurants.
