I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Judi Mamou today in California beside her beloved Jimi. Our hearts and condolences go out to Jimi, their family and friends. We will miss her warm radiance.

This Thursday at 11:00 A.M. there will be a national simulation event of an earthquake with an imagined strength of 7.5 and with its epicenter near Acapulco. You are welcome to participate via the SkyAlert app or simply for practice. So please don't be alarmed if your earthquake app goes off and/or you see people filing out of hotels, stores, banks and public buildings. It's just a simulation to keep us on our toes, though I think many of us are already on our toes from all the quakes we've lived through.

We enjoyed another beautiful warm sunny day in paradise. Hardly anyone here enjoying our beaches. This evening a nice light rain blew over the area and cooled things down, though just barely. It's not going to be a comfortable sleeping night for a lot of people in La Unión who haven't had electricity for days. Not sure what the problem is with la Comisión.

There are hardly any visitors around. So few that many restaurants and shops don't even bother opening at this time of the year. The Paseo del Pescador was a lonely walk this evening. Hardly a soul around. It's kinda nice having the place to ourselves.
