Vientos en la DistanZIHa
Zihuatanejo received another overnight rain Saturday night that made Sunday morning more comfortable for getting chores done. For many of us, one of those chores is sweeping the water from our rooftops. Lots of friends and neighbors were out getting their morning exercise and walking their dogs.
Some tourists were around this Sunday, but it didn't seem like there were very many. Neither in the streets nor on the beaches. They didn't seem interested in buying anything, which is the reason so many shops and restaurants simply close at this time of year.
It looks like we're in for quite a week of some possibly extremely bad weather. Two areas of tropical disturbances are forming and interacting off our coast. One of them, Tropical Depression 10-E, looks like it's going to hang around a while and could bring us some heavy winds and rains, probably forming a hurricane that will bounce off the coast of southern Guerrero near Oaxaca with the potential to move in our direction. Keeping fingers crossed it peters out without causing any damage. Be sure to keep a close eye on our local weather.
We got some nice rains this Sunday evening in downtown Zihuatanejo. A bummer for the musical group that had set up at the Cancha Municipal whose drum set and sound equipment was set up when the rain hit. I hope they got them covered up in time.
Tucked away on the northern side of Marina Ixtapa in a very peaceful and secure part of Ixtapa are some extremely comfortably condos. Ixtapa Paqus Properties offers luxurious vacation rental properties in an exclusive residential area with panoramic ocean views and access to pools, beach club, tennis and golf.

Hace cinco años se celebraron el Día de la Independencia Mexicana con muchos fuegos artificiales en Playa Principal mientras había un crucero en la bahía de Zihuatanejo.
