ViZIHtantes Pequeños y Grandes
Sunday morning was another absolutely cloudless morning. I don't recall seeing any clouds during the entire day, but I may have been distracted by the Mexico City Formula 1 Grand Prix. It was a terrific race, but Checo Pérez didn't look too good today.
The State of Guerrero turned 175 years old today!
Técpan remains in a state of caution. Schools will be closed this Monday, some public transportation services are not running, 5 more bodies were found, and 6 more Guatemalans were arrested this Sunday along with several members of Los Granados gang. The police and the military seem to be doing their jobs. We are grateful for them.
Local beaches were full again this Sunday, and local merchants enjoyed more sales today than previous days. Hopefully a sign of good things to come.
Pan de muertos is available at local bakeries!
The whales are back in town! Keep an eye on the horizon and you may see them jumping. Or you could charter a boat and go see them up close along with other marine residents including dolphins and rays. An excellent way to enjoy our coastal region is from the ocean with its majestic views of the mountains. For your adventure on our local waters I highly recommend the services of Zihuatanejo Ixtapa Charters. They have vessels for all occasions. Take your pick and enjoy an unforgettable day on the ocean in our paradise.
