Locals awoke to refreshing weather this morning again. It got cool enough to sleep under the sheets Wednesday night and to have to turn the fan down a notch or two. In a little over a week our hurricane season will officially be over, and with it go the rains until next May or June.

We could get some more rain this Thursday night. Storm clouds are in the region.

For people needing to go south towards Acapulco or Chilpancingo, the road continues getting blocked frequently, one day by one group with one complaint, another day by another. Generations have learned that it's apparently the only way to get the government's attention to get things done. It's a huge bummer for travelers, but something we all live with here. Always check the local news before making a road trip anywhere in Mexico.

The fishing has been improving, and there were a lot of pargo and huachinango at the market this morning. My wife and I love fish, and we've eaten more fish than anything else this past week. Like many Zihuatanejenses, we're very grateful for the work our local fishermen do. They remain the heart and soul of Zihuatanejo.
