Hundreds of runners and quite a few cyclists accompanying them crowded the Paseo del Pescador this morning when I went to take our dog for a walk around 7-ish. Glad to see so many people thinking about their health (or was it the $5,000 prize). I can recall back when Lupita was practically the only person known for running the beaches in the morning. When I first started courting her, I had to run the beaches just to try to bump into her and get a smile and a kiss. The things the smitten do for love.

Sunday morning started off cool, and locals had to pull the sheets up over them to stay warm until the sun rose. It certainly rises fast, bright and hot at our latitude. Since all the downtown streets were blocked off for the running event, downtown was still and quiet except for the runners' route. Hot Guerrero coffee, a licuado de plátano, and fresh local pastries made for a quick and easy Sunday morning no-fuss breakfast. Man, do I ever love waking up here!

The Eastern Pacific Hurricane Season ended quietly yesterday. No rain or snow in our forecast. Just sunshine and blue skies and moderate temperatures. The ocean surface temperature has dropped a full 1°C since last week to around 28.8°C.

Did anyone feel the 4.3 earthquake at 04:17 this Sunday morning? Neither did we, and that's fine with me.
