This Monday was cloudy all day with some scattered rains in the region. According to the legend of Las Cabañuelas, this suggests that the rains will begin in June this year.

There were hardly any tourists around today other than extranjeros who are noticeably increasing in number day by day recently. We're extremely glad to see them, but we need a lot more of them. The waterfront walkways seemed deserted today in comparison to the past couple of weeks. There were a few people at the beach today, some who were swimming before the sun even rose. But it sure looks like the holiday vacation season is OVER.

Today was the day children here and across Mexico got presents from Los Reyes Magos. It's the last magical day for kids and symbolizes the end of the holiday season. We enjoyed a Rosca de Reyes from Panadería La Boquita for breakfast this morning with a cup of chocolate caliente. Absolutely mouth watering delicious!

Presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced today a complete reconstruction of the highway from Toluca to Zihuatanejo. She says the work will begin in about 2 months. This is excellent news for our region, especially for Ciudad Altamirano in Pungarabato and the people in the sierra of Zihuatanejo.
