Folks along the Costa Grande of Guerrero were fortunate to again awaken to a cool morning of painted skies, though the colors only lasted a few short minutes since the sun rises quickly at our latitude. While the sun warmed things up, the skies cleared and we enjoyed another day of absolutely picture-postcard-perfect weather!

There was plenty of room on the downtown beach to throw one's towel or to hang a hammock between palm trees and enjoy the beautiful panorama of Zihuatanejo's bay. Beachgoers enjoyed floating and swimming in the warm, calm water while schools of small fish swam up and down the beaches. Because Playa Principal doesn't have all the stupid restrictions of the Blue Flag elitist beaches, folks tend to relax more and enjoy themselves longer. And yet every day the beach looks just fine. People clean up after themselves and their dogs, and no beachgoers blare their music, negating the excuses used to try to justify the Blue Flag beaches.

For those who use them, be aware that vapers and electronic cigarettes were made illegal today by our Congreso del Estado in the State of Guerrero.

Don't forget to come enjoy the Danzón dancers this Friday evening in Plaza del Artista around sunset time. They are beautiful to watch, as is their music beautiful to listen to. And you are welcome to join them. Try to pay attention to their style of dancing before doing your John Travolta imitation.

Durante el amanecer hoy en la bahía de Zihuatanejo se vió varios veleros en la distancia, y de cerca hubo tres pangas pesqueras guardadas en Playa Principal mientras una panga con pescadores espera para orillarse.
