Friday was another nipper morning for locals, while visitors were out early enjoying the sunrise on our tropical coast, filming themselves and each other having a good time on their vacation. Pelicans that weren't awaiting handouts from the fishermen were out diving into the scattered schools of fish off the downtown beach. Someone wrote here the other day that they hadn't seen pelicans, but I see them every day. Maybe they just aren't at La Ropa as a consequence of the ecocide.

Once the sun came out, it quickly took the chill out of the air. Tourists began arriving today for the long weekend in honor of Día de La Constitución on February 5th, but Monday the 3rd is the official holiday in order to stimulate national tourism.

If you need to get money from the ATM this weekend. Do it early as the cajeros automáticos tend to run out of money during busy long weekends.

Did anyone see the meteor streak across the sky above Zihuatanejo Thursday night?

Don't forget to visit the Eco-Tianguis "Sanka" across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande this Saturday morning from 9 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. And in La Ropa next to Casa Tucanes is "Las Iguanas Bazar" every Saturday and Sunday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. with local artisans and merchants and lots of sustainable products. Solidly good vibes at both weekly events!
