After last week's long weekend, there don't appear to be many national tourists around. At least not out on the beaches or streets of Zihuatanejo. Ixtapa's all-included hotels don't count. Most of those folks never leave their hotels.

The small 1-to-2ft waves in the bay continue. Outside the bay the waves are from 1-to-2 meters. The water temperature continues warm at about 28°C. It should start dropping during this month. There weren't many swimmers at the downtown beach today, even though it was another absolutely perfect beach day with sunny skies and a light breeze.

Not sure why the municipal government keeps scheduling events it doesn't announce on Friday evenings at Plaza del Artista. Once again the Danzón dancers had to cancel their weekly get-together because the municipal government scheduled a tianguis of artesanos. While they certainly offer nice things for sale, maybe the local government could've scheduled them for Saturday out of respect for the elderly couples who look forward to their weekly Danzón every Friday evening?

This Saturday morning don't miss the Eco-Tianguis Sanka across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande from 9 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. And in La Ropa next to Casa Tucanes is "Las Iguanas Bazar" every Saturday and Sunday from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. with local artisans and merchants and lots of sustainable products. Good times and good vibes at both weekly events!
