Though there were a few clouds in the eastern sky at sunrise, Thursday quickly turned into a sunny and hot day perfect for the beach or taking it easy in the shade overlooking the ocean. There are hardly any Mexican tourists around, but the folks from Canada and the United States are certainly here. It seems like mostly Canadians this year. Waterfront restaurants are full of extranjero visitors day and night, and many downtown shops also have been enjoying a good business from them. Just what the community needs!

I hope everyone who had pozole today enjoyed their meal and didn't put too much chile in it. If you drank too much mezcal you probably won't notice the chile until tomorrow morning. ;-)

Whale watchers continue to encounter plenty of whales along our coast. We've been fortunate this year to see an increase in the number of whales and their young in our region. Hopefully the Mexican Navy is taking extra care to prevent longliners from using their illegal fishing practices that can kill whales. If you haven't been whale watching, now is the best time of year. I have some excellent captains listed on my website for whale watching tours.

This is a beautiful 2-bedroom condo with a terrace at the "Casa Que Ve Al Mar" complex, and it features a fully equipped kitchen, internet access, cable & satellite TV, 24-hour security, and a pool and sundeck right out the front door.
