This morning the faithful celebrated Día de Ramos marching and singing down the streets with their woven palm fronds on their way from the Iglesia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe on Calle Cinco de Mayo to the Iglesia Angelus at Plaza Kioto. The mass was about 3 hours long, according to my saint of a wife. Folks on vacation stopped to take photos and enjoy the sight of the large procession.

Luckily no one was killed by fElon's space junk Saturday night, but it caused quite a bit of consternation in the region precisely because it could have. He needs to point that crap somewhere else.

More throngs of visitors with rolling suitcases and coolers arrived again this Sunday morning. Mostly families of all shapes and sizes. They filled the waterfront restaurants and the beaches pretty much everywhere. I'll never understand the attraction some people have to standing right where the waves break and getting whacked over and over. Puzzling. The waves continued to be large, but they settled down as the day went on. But every now and then one of those big ones would come and whack all the wave waders, and everyone would have to make sure their family members were accounted for. Silly.

Amazingly the local lodgings AREN'T full even though the streets and beaches are. But the shop owners and vendors are at least making some sales. Every bit helps right now. I'm noticing a good amount of middle-class Mexican visitors, but still not enough for a prosperous vacation season for locals. Hopefully more will arrive during the week. Nevertheless, the procession of vehicles on the roads flowing from the inland towns and cities to coast is an impressive sight.

Amenities include a swimming pool, a wading pool for children, Wi-fi, air conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor grill. A fun and relaxing place to spend a vacation with family and friends.
