The mar de fondo didn't seem to last very long. Not even a full day. Much ado about nothing. At least not in Zihuatanejo's bay. The waves were kinda big until late afternoon, then they seemed to calm down, and the bay is once again as calm and beautiful as ever. The weather cooperated this Saturday with a nice breeze and plenty of sunshine.

The crowds keep growing, and the beaches were crowded everywhere this Sábado de Gloria. Restaurants and shopkeepers were busy with customers. The streets were full, and parking was a challenge. One thing being reported are the theft of people's valuables from their vehicles while parked at various parking areas near local beaches. So please keep your eyes open. With the increase in vacationers we also often see an increase in los amantes del ajeno.

According to one of my charter captain friends, it turns out there are TWO momma whales with babies in the area! Both apparently trying to fatten up their babies before making the trip back north. I didn't see any in the bay with my binoculars today, but they may have been out of my line of sight.
