When will it rain? A Poem!
The End of the Rainy Season (A Villanelle)
We do not know if this is the last rain
The lightning flashes, the thunder crashes
We do not know if we will love again
Watch out for the gatos tres hurricane
The hot summer rain brings lush green grasses
We do not know if this is the last rain
Old age is an unforgiving terrain
A series of inelegant passes
We do not know if we will love again
Maybe I am inappropriately vain
Then again, all my fires turn to ashes
We do not know if this is the last rain
All my love has been legerdemain
Love hurts but usually assuages
We do not know if we will love again
Mother Nature has a year long reign
Most months are dry then she salvages
I do not know if this is the last rain
I do not know if I will love again
