There was another light sprinkle overnight between late Friday night and Saturday morning, but then it turned into another beautiful day. The mar de fondo never caused big enough waves to close down any piers or cause any inconvenience, but from what I could see at the mouth of the bay it was choppy and there was a bit of a breeze. A chance of rain remains in our local forecast, according to the state's weather service.

Visitors poured into town by bus today, still arriving this Saturday evening when I walked to the offices of the ejidatarios of Zihuatanejo on Cinco de Mayo street where buses were lined up and crowds of people were towing their suitcases and ice chests down the street to their hotels.

The Triatlón went off without a hitch. Even our mayor entered the running competition and set a wonderful example! I can't help but admire her for that. I looked for it on all the sports channels, but nothing. Bummer. I've seen the Triathlon from St. Croix and even Bermuda aired on ESPN. I wonder why they omit us?

Un licuado de mamey is a great way to start off the day! ;-)
