Nuestros BellíZIHmos Cerros Verdes
Once again Zihuatanejo awoke to a relatively cool and refreshing cloudy morning. But not hardly a tourist in sight, though a very few showed up later in the day. The sun barely showed itself today, but the rain held off so far. The storm to our south continues posing a threat to our part of the coast, and it's expected to bring strong winds and considerable rain whatever it does. It's good to see the state government sounding the alarm so that folks are at least aware of the storm and the possible danger.
I want to give a hearty shout out to Dr. Alfonso Duarte. Earlier this month I caught a bug after someone sneezed in my face during an evening stroll. After a week or so of some coughing and sneezing and feeling miserable, one of the aftereffects was a partial hearing loss in one ear. But the good doctor, an otorrinolaringólogo (ear, nose and throat specialist) had me right as rain within a few days after seeing him. My wife and I have used his services forever, and he's always taken excellent care of us.

The bay is currently calm as glass, with hardly any waves at all after being quite active for most of the month. It should be okay for swimming this Wednesday unless it rains hard tonight, which I don't expect and isn't forecasted. It looks like we'll enjoy another refreshing night perfect for sleeping. Probably have to sleep under the sheets again.
The hills are a beautiful verde tierno, the most beautiful they've appeared all year. Flamboyán trees are blooming red adding to the beauty. The rains bring the land back tom life. The rainy season is my favorite time of year!
Paradise may have once been lost, but when you arrive at this lodging you'll know you've truly found it. Casa Escondida offers a 2-bedroom home, a 2-bedroom apartment, and two 1-bedroom bungalows all designed in local tropical styles. This incredible property is located on Troncones Beach a short walk from the village. Features a pool, ceiling fans and hammocks on the porches. Rent the entire property or in parts.
