Our refreshing mornings continue. A bit of high cloud cover this morning kept the heat at bay a little longer, though it quickly warmed up once the sun peaked through.

Ixtapa seems to be full of tourists, though you'd never know it because most of them seem to never leave their hotels to visit any restaurants or do any shopping. A situation that everyone seems to be aware of, but no one is doing anything to remedy. Our local government only concerns itself with pouring cement and planning photo op events, and of course the Ixtapa hotels aren't going to do anything that might cost them money. I've got solutions, but I'm not on the payroll or in the chain of command, so they can keep ignoring the decades-old problem or try working it out for themselves. Frankly, I don't think the current municipal government even cares.

The continued attacks by the criminal U.S. regime against suspected smugglers at sea now has the USA labeled as a terrorist nation by the rest of the world. The USA has not had such a low standing in the eyes of the world since the days of Nixon. I was here in Mexico then, and though Gringos were tolerated, we were not respected. Labeling people as terrorists who obviously are no such thing is yet another example of the MAGAts projecting their own shortcomings. How sad to see the USA fall so low in such a short period of time, apparently to protect rich pedophiles from being exposed.

As I'm sure many of you here are aware, El Buen Fin began this Thursday and will continue through next Monday. This is Mexico's version of Black Friday. All the big stores are participating as well as many online stores here in Mexico, my favorite being Mercado Libre. But you can almost always find an actual store online that will ship its products anywhere in Mexico for extremely reasonable rates.

Speaking of reasonable rates, La Casa Roja still has dates available for this coming vacation period.
