Wednesday night we enjoyed perfect sleeping weather with overnight temps around 21°C, perfect for sleeping with windows open and a fan on low.

What a great country Mexico is! I was able to get my free influenza vaccination today on Avenida Benito Juárez in front of the Bancomer today. Part of the Bienestar health program of the federal government. I believe it's only for citizens, which I am proud to be, since they wanted my voters ID. Foreign residents can still get their free flu shots at the Clínica de Salud in Colonia El Embalse.

The Folkloristas Unidos en México had a parade this Thursday evening down Benito Juárez before putting on a show at the Cancha Municipal. They'll be in Ixtapa this Friday evening, and back at the Cancha Municipal this Sunday evening. See my COMMUNITY NOTICES & EVENTS PAGE for details.

Still no waves crashing on the beaches here in town. Don't hear a thing all night long. Surfers continue to be disappointed. Didn't even see any this morning when I checked the webcam for the Wave Machine at La Saladita.

The ayuntamiento is allegedly trying to work a deal to allow tour buses to park near Plaza Kioto again. We hope they're able to pull this off. Too many lodgings and other businesses that grew over the years in that area specifically for the bus travelers have been having a hard time without their customers. A few larger hotels have been using combis to ferry their guests from the parking area at La Salinas near Cinco de Mayo to the La Boquita area, but most businesses can't afford to do that.

It's supposed to get cool again this Thursday night. But still no snow in our forecast. Ho ho ho! ;-)

[image]Playa Blanca is a place that still enjoys much peace and tranquility, a place where the stars still appear clearly in the evening skies and where whales and dolphins can be seen spouting and breaching from the shore. El Manantial is an affordable vacation lodging located right on the beach at Playa Blanca offering two one-bedroom bungalows and two houses, one with three bedrooms and the other with six, each with A/C and wi-fi internet, and access to a common pool and a beachfront lounge area.

We haven't yet stumbled across flu shots, but we are looking for them.

This mornings paddle was fabulous, very flat water, very clear water, and an extremely quiet world. We expect this to end manana with the arrival of our guests for the holidays!

Mid morning today we saw one bus in the old bus parking area near Plaza Kyoto.

The health clinic in Dario Galeana (across from the bomberos) gives free flu and other shots to permanent residents and citizens from Colonias la Ropa, Dario Galeana and Madera. Bring your health certificate that shows your CURP and prior shots received.

We have received numerous shots here but have nothing resembling a health certificate, and nothing other than proof of COVID vaccines. What are we supposed to do?

They're out in front of Santander Bank. Perm. resident card. They ask your age, what colonia you're from and what shot you want. 3 minutes start to finish! Thanks for the heads-up, Rob.

I'd have chosen a less alarming word that "shots."

HA! You're right! The whole exchange with them was in spanish, but I don't remember how they worded it. My bad!
