¡Muy Feliz Navidad!

Revelers were up making loud noises until the wee hours of the morning, but they finally went to bed so we could sleep with the windows open. There was hardly a soul out this morning, and it was even cooler than previous days, though the official temp says only 21°C. I think it snuck down to 19°C while the thermometer wasn't looking. There was almost a layer of ice on the water in Canal La Boquita.

Our daughter spoiled us rotten today, cooking perfect pancakes for breakfast and a mouth-watering fettuccine, bístec a la mexicana and fresh salad for lunch. This is our first Navidad in several years without family visiting. A nice quiet lazy day doing lots of smiling.

We hope everyone else was able to enjoy a relaxing day with their loved ones.

Zihuatanejo is full. If you aren't already here, I'm not sure there's any more room. The streets, the beach and the waterfront are full of mostly families, laughing and smiling and relaxing. The downtown beach had people on it early just staring out at the extremely calm bay with very small waves gently sloshing against the shore.

While many businesses close for Christmas day, there are still thousands of people here who work holidays like today. If you come across any of them, please take a moment to thank them for being there for you today. We certainly thank YOU for choosing to visit us!
