Thanks

Well, considering it is to blast in the new years, I think that midnight is a good guess

My goodness. I haven't stayed up until midnight on New Year's Eve since 1999. And that was just to make sure we made it to the next century.
We don't stay up until midnight, but are awakened by what sounds like a war, one dog going under the bed and the other needing to be held. WAY too late for us.

I an in the Paciific time zone each New Year’s Eve. I used to live in the Eastern time zone. I still observe NYE in that time zone then go to bed.

In Ixtapa, 11:59 PM and 59 seconds would be a good time to be ready.

If it is like any big events I have attended in Mexico, a 1:30 a.m. to 2.00 a.m. start time would be more likely.
A couple of years ago, against my better judgement, I was talked into going to a restaurant’s relocation grand opening. The opening was at 5:00 p.m. The organizer of our reservation made it for 5:30 p.m.
By 8:00 p.m. not only were we not fed, we hadn’t received menus yet.
We did enjoy our meal at a nearby restaurant though.
