ATM limit (CitiBanamex across from Any’s)
by SandyB, Friday, January 02, 2026, 11:13 (5 days ago)
Can someone tell me how many pesos you can withdraw at a time at these ATMs? They used to be called Banamex but have been rebranded as CitiBanamex. They may still have the old name on their sign. (I know my own ATM card limit, but wondering about the Banamex’s ATM limit.)
No guesses please. Thanks

This is not for OP, but for general information.
I have withdrawn M$12,000 at each of these ATMs.

Thank you, but I’m asking about the Banamex (now CitiBanamex) ATMs directly across from Restaurantes Mexicanos Any.

Embrace the can-do spirit of experimentation! Ask for MXN$20,000 pesos and then work your way down.

Actually, Citi sold its stake, and it's now Banamex again.
I believe the limit at one time is $5,000, but the total limit you can withdraw is different and dependent upon YOUR bank account. I can set my own limits with my Banamex account. I've withdrawn $12,000 simply by making multiple withdrawals with a max of $5,000 at a time.

Ah, thank you! If I understand you, the Banamex ATMs have a limit of 5000 pesos per transaction. My ATM card’s bank has a much higher daily limit, so I could make multiple transactions using the same card at the ATM. I guess the remaining question is if the Banamex ATMs has a daily transaction limit.
You may know this. If not, I’ll be finding out soon enough.
Thank you all.

At Inbursa, I can withdraw $14,000 pesos (2 draws by keeping my card in the machine.)
It also depends on how much your bank lets you withdraw, then consider the foreign exchange and any bank fees for international withdrawals.
This is a holiday weekend, and some bank machines run out of cash before Monday. Do it today or early tomorrow.

FWIW at the Banconorte near the Oxxo near La Ropa I’ve withdrawn 15,000 pesos in a single transaction. It even lists 15,000 as a specific transaction.

Point of information: Unless another bank now has a better ATM withdrawal fee, Inbursa seems to have the best withdrawal fee at MXN$22 pesos.

Canadians who have a ScotiaBank ATM card or a Tangerine ATM card might find that they can have fee-free withdrawals at the SB ATM. I do. I expect that some American banks will have similar arrangements with some Mexican banks.
Then there is the Wise ATM cards that may require the payment of an ATM fee, but might give a better exchange rate that offsets the fee.
(As an aside, I have never been able to get money from the Inbursa ATM using either my Wuse or SB ATM cards.)

And then there are the ATM cards that refund your fees, no limit. LOVE that.
There was about a 2 month period this fall when INBURSA wouldn't take one of our cards, and we got out of the habit of using them. Work now.
