We awoke this Wednesday to alarming news on Mexico's border with El Paso, Texas that El Paso's airspace was declared closed for 10 days by the FAA. Of course people on both sides of the border thought an invasion or attack on Mexico was coming from the U.S. government to distract from the Epstein Files. After the regime initially tried to blame the closure on a drone sent by Mexican cartels, it turns out the whole affair was caused by a PARTY BALLOON. You can't make this stuff up! TEN DAYS OF CLOSED AIRSPACE WAS THE U.S. GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE TO A PARTY BALLOON. Incompetence is the first adjective that comes to mind. I'm sure it brought a smile to Putin's face.

Meanwhile, in Zihuatanejo we awoke to the sound of waves. Not very large, but considering we've hardly even had any waves for the past couple of months, the sound was quite welcome. It will make for pleasant sleeping sounds tonight. And surfers will enjoy having something to surf after several disappointing weeks.

Not sure why La Jaiba Feliz has been closed the past few days, but we certainly enjoyed our afternoon meal at El Buen Sazón today. Fresh filet of tuna cooked to perfection! They are good neighbors and they prepare wonderful meals. Their simple but lush courtyard garden is like stepping back in time in Zihuatanejo. I don't know if they speak English, but if you like local food prepared the way we are accustomed to eating locally, then you'll be in heaven. No, no fancy anything, and if it isn't local don't ask for it. If you live within a few blocks of their restaurant, their meals can be delivered.

Another day of perfect weather! We awoke to cloudless skies, but later some high clouds moved in. The weather remains excellent for beachgoers and sightseers with mild temperatures and light breezes. There's no change in our local forecast for the foreseeable future.
