We continue to enjoy good sleeping weather overnight. I still pull a sheet up over me, but this Saturday morning it again warmed up quickly and the humidity remained high. Overnight temps look like they may warm up in coming days. I could see a line of possible storm clouds to the west this morning, so it may have rained somewhere not far up the coast from us. There remains a fair possibility of rain for our region in the coming week. Keeping fingers crossed.

A fair number of visitors showed up today to enjoy our beaches, and the waterfront was a popular place this evening for strolling, enjoying the music and the book fair. Restaurants weren't full, though most had some customers, but the bars and restaurants in the pedestrian part of town were mostly empty. Slow season is here.

While the book fair looks interesting, it doesn't seem to really be attracting a lot of people. Locals aren't big readers, but they're perusing the book stands set up at the main plaza, so hopefully the sellers are making some sales. I don't see how the municipal government justifies the expenses it's put out, though. For three days they had dozens of people working on the setup at Plaza del Artista which seems to be mostly for children, though the son of a popular Columbian musician was there tonight by the amate tree singing and playing merengue music. And there's some kind of stage on the beach with speakers set up. Better there than under my window. ;-)

The sea is still generating swells around a meter or so that have been rather close together much of the day. The mar de fondo effect is expected to pick up this Monday with swells peaking around 1½ meters this coming Thursday and Friday. Conditions have been decent for local surfing lately.

One with two en-suite bedrooms and two with one bedroom each as well as a sofa or pull out bed.
