Monday night was anything but cool, even with fans on high. Definitely not a night for sleeping under sheets. And the sound of the surf kept growing as swells grew from the mar de fondo effect.

Beginning Thursday swells will continue increasing in height, reaching around 2½ meters by Sunday. It's not so much the height of the swells causing problems as the massive amounts of water pushing them. The rare extreme high tide is when they do the most damage. Currently the swells are only reaching about halfway up Playa Principal, but folks at Playa La Madera and Playa El Palmar have very little beach to enjoy.

:futbol: The energy is already building for the upcoming match between Mexico and South Korea. It should be an excellent match. Both teams did well in their first match, and though they play with different styles, they have a similar intensity. Since they're playing in Guadalara where South Korea is based for the Mundial, they are considered the Home Team in this upcoming match, and they've won the heart of the Tapatíos there. This is going to be fun, which is what sports is supposed to be all about. Warm saludos to my South Korean friends!
