Monday evening's rain brought the temperatures down and made for perfect sleeping weather. But the overnight rain that was predicted never showed up. Neither did any of the rain that was forecast for this Tuesday. It was another hot and sunny day with a high temperature around 36°C. It doesn't look like we'll get any more rain this evening, but varying chances of rain are forecast for the rest of the week. We don't need much to keep us happy.

Argentina remains the last hope for an American team to win the 2026 World Cup, so we'll be rooting for them this Wednesday when they play England at 1PM local time. ¡Olé!

Tourism remains extremely slow. Local chisme is that the flights from Puebla are mostly empty, meaning they are unlikely to continue. I don't know about any other of our new national flights. Our so-called tourism authorities have left promotion in the hands of "influencers". A very unprofessional thing to do. So we have no new cruise ships scheduled, no tourists with money to spend, and the hotels in Ixtapa's main area are all-included and their guests mostly never leave to purchase anything or to dine in the shopping centers of Ixtapa or downtown Zihuatanejo. But millions of pesos are being spent to pour cement with the excuse that it's to improve tourism. I've never met a tourist who visited a tropical resort destination for the cement, but there are actually people who believe such excuses. Thankfully, most of us don't, and we're hoping to see our waters and shoreline turned into an Área Natural Protegida.
