Hoy a las 5 de la tarde la cronista de Zihuatanejo, el Maestro Lázaro Ramírez, dará un discurso para sordamudos (con traductor) en el Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande sobre la historía de la escuela más antigua de Zihuatanejo, la Escuela Primaria "Vicente Guerrero", que también fue una de las primeras construcciones de material en Zihuatanejo. Todos están invitados. Entrada es gratis.
Today at 5pm Zihuatanejo's official historian, Lázaro Ramírez, will give a speech for the hearing impaired (with a translator for sign language) at the Archeological Museum of the Costa Grande about Zihuatanejo's oldest school, the elementary school "Vicente Guerrero", which was also one of the first buildings made with cement in Zihuatanejo. Everyone is invited and entrance is free.

If you right-click the photos (unless you have a Mac) and select "properties" the names of the images include their dates. I posted them in chronological order.

If you right-click the photos (unless you have a Mac) and select "properties" the names of the images include their dates. I posted them in chronological order.
The last photo clearly, (I think), identifies it as the elementary school near your place, on Alvarez just down from Vicente Guerrero.....but those other photos show the water lapping right up against the school. What's changed over the years?

A beautiful mangrove lagoon was destroyed in the name of "progress". We got a man-made canal in exchange for the natural lagoon. Purty good deal, huh?
