Does anyone remember----

When we first started coming to Ixtapa many years ago there was a restaurant to the right of Mama Norma's & Deborah's, just in front of the Italian restaurant that was sort of like a cement basement--you had to walk down some steps to get to the seating area. Was there for a couple of years and then the "hole" was filled in the next year. Also, remember the wonderful French restaurant that had a great breakfast where the Lobster House now is located? These are from possibly the early 90's! Just wondered if anyone else remembered this---also Jose and his massage table under the palms at the old Aristos?? How things have changed!!!

The french place was also a dynamite bakery and it was called the Montmartre or something like that. After leaving the location you remember, they moved to smaller locations at least twice, down near the Soleado and the last time behind the bank, but and only operating as a bakery. Then it closed about 4-5 years ago.

Where Momma Norma and Deb is; was a very small pizza place. The place where you stepped down had a green tent over it. I met a couple from Kodiak, Alaska. She had Montezuma's for two weeks. She was only eating saltines and soup. I believe The Montmartre first moved across from the Barcelo where a bank snd OXXO are now. It was said that the owner was the mayor. That's what I remember.
