Men go this way, women go the other: Day four trip report
For some reason I'm wide awake after another beautiful day in paradise. Could the weather be any more perfect? It's snowing again at home, daily updates from the kids, and I can't believe we're here. Still.
The boys fished with Ed Kunze today so I'll give a full report on that. Everyone is asleep but me so that'll come later. The boys had great stories at dinner. Unfortunately they had more stories than fish today but did see some amazing sea life.
Me and mi amiga woke up to a gorgeous day. We had massages planned for noon today at Deisy Massage.
Breakfast of Champions:

Our condo is very well stocked. I'd stay here again.
While getting ready today I hear this loud scream and then my name. It was my friend. I run into her room and she asks me: is that what I think it is and points to the ground. I look down and yes, it's what she thinks it is. A scorpion. *faint* We had already encountered a BIG hairy tarantula, cockroaches by the pier (the worst), and now this. He was snapping and kind of pissed off. Sorry PETA people but my first instinct was to kill the little sucker. I was not brave enough to smash it with a shoe and honestly it looked too mean and crunchy for a flip flop so I grabbed a case of water and slammed it right on top. Amy said it was about the funniest thing she's seen. Okay, I have to stop talking about it or ill never get to sleep.
We went to La Ropa, strolled, chatted, and had a lovely morning before our massages. There were 17 boats today on the water for SailFest and we were just in time to watch them sail through and circle the bay. It was just lovely. I envy whoever was on those boats.
Deisy was ready for us right at noon as we had planned via Facebook. Her salon is right behind Rossy's.
Deisy and her girls give a good massage. You cannot beat $15.06 USD or $200 pesos for an hour massage. Deisy speaks very good English without an accent and I'm assuming has some formal post high school education so expressing yourself and being understood is not an issue.
Post massage called for lunch and pool time. Back at the condo we made lunch and chilled by the pool. Laughing, swimming, chatting, admiring the view, I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon with my friend. Good times in Zihua for sure.
While at the pool, our maid came and did a wonderful job.
The boys arrived about 4:30 and were beat. I knew it'd be an early evening for them but we wanted to watch the sunset from the Sunset Bar at the Catalina.
We arrived just before 6:00, enjoyed some dos por uno, and took tons of photos. They're on the real camera so they'll have to wait to wait until I'm home. No real computer to plug into.
The sunset and view were as gorgeous as I remember but where did the chili-lime peanuts go?? I had talked about them for days and now they serve crappy regular bar mix. Truly not an issue in the scheme of things but did miss those nuts.
Despite the lady at the pools snake story, the gang was craving pizza so to Jungle Pizza we went. She said they were there a few days ago and a rattle snake was slithering through the chairs. EEK!
The name is fitting for sure. We walked the dark road from the Catalina to Jungle Pizza and almost walked right by. Anyone know the story with that place? There's got to be one. The pizza was delicious, I love thin crust, and the service was good too. We had 2 sodas, a Corona, a large Margarita pizza, and medium onion/sausage pizza and the bill was $410 pesos before tip. The pizza oven was beautiful. I'd like to see it in the light and how it fits in with its surroundings.
After pizza we cabbed it back, lazy tired Americans, and everyone crashed but me. The boys were beat; up early, long drive, long day on the water, mucho sun, good times.
The days are going by so fast. We're enjoying every moment of this vacation. Tomorrow, Las Gatas (I think). Possibly some snorkling.......thanks agin for reading.
