Z Stormy Weather

This is easily the earliest tropical storm in memory to hit Zihuatanejo, and no one recalls it ever raining in April like it did this year. Now we've gone and done it! But the question is, when are we going to do something about what we've collectively done? Especially considering all the "non-believers" still denying any responsibility.

Here is the scene on the Playa Principal this morning. Muddy waters to be sure. Water is shooting down the canal and into the bay, worsened by all the new pavement and all the new construction especially on the hillsides where invaders have cleared all the vegetation that used to ameliorate the drainage and absorb a lot of the water, enough to make a differece between the canal overflowing or not. It used to be that the canal never overflowed, but now it overflows with practically every rain. Our tax pesos at work!
