My Country 'Tis of Z

After a perfectly restful night we awoke to a peaceful Zihuatanejo morning of bright colors and cerulean skies. Amazingly enough the municipal pier is again open to the public even though the past two earthquakes have damaged it severely and cracked it all over. I can't even imagine what the local government is thinking by not closing the pier. I guess they REALLY want the fishermen's votes and don't want to cause them any avoidable discomfort beyond the dredging of the lagoon. It boggles the mind. They should be building a temporary pier of some sort to get through the period of the construction of the new pier. Oh, but of course we have the upcoming local fishing tournament called La Calentona on the 24th I believe. That must be it.

My street comes to life as storm clouds float away in the distance.
