Eye On Z Moon
Since I don't own any fancy digital cameras like my talented friend Wil (HunterMx), getting pics of the magical full moon when it rises over Zihuatanejo is not easy. Not one bit. Last month I caught a shot from my rooftop of the moonrise but it didn't really strike me as a good photo until I came across it a couple of days ago and it took me a while to realize it was my own rooftop. A few nights ago the full moon loomed large as it peeked over the hills near La Ropa in a bright orange haze. At first many folks thought the growing orange light was just another fire until the moon became plainly visible as it cleared the hillside. I used a couple of cameras to try to get The Shot, but only my trusty iPhone 4S came close to capturing a scene worth sharing. The first photo is from the other night. The second from last month. Amazing the difference a month makes!
