The newly under construction building on Paseo Del Pescador seem to have a problem. They put these signs on the big opening door and stopped work a couple of days ago.

The newly under construction building on Paseo Del Pescador seem to have a problem. They put these signs on the big opening door and stopped work a couple of days ago.
I suspect someone in the ayuntamiento wants a hefty payoff, the typical roadblock on any construction particularly by folks who aren't locals. But if they make them tear down the front 2 meters I will personally pay for the celebration party at La Porteña and maybe even vote PRI again sometime in the future!

Palms will get greased and signs will come down y no pasa nada. If we had such a thing as transparency in government we could always ask to see the receipts for the permits paid since they should be a matter of public record, but alas, that is what we call a sueño guajiro in these parts.

Guess I won't have to commit that vote. The suspension has been lifted and the place is open for business. Careful if you do business there because that's my spit on their door handle.
