Launching a Boat in the Surf?

I want to be out on the water, in the bay, nearly every day when I'm in Zihua. So I'm considering buying a back-packable inflatable boat to bring down as checked baggage. I'm working on the details of how best to equip it (like some remnant carpet on the floor to prevent punctures by fish spines), and where I can store it while we're not there.
But the biggest snag seems to be launching/landing it (preferably on La Ropa) with a wave breaking every 10 or 12 seconds. (Of course, on days with big breakers, I wouldn't even try.)
Anyone ever done this and have some tips? Is the surf any lighter down near La Gaviota?

The waves vary each day on La Ropa. If you go to Paty's Marimar Restaurant you will find the Hobie Cats and SUP's, as well as boogie boards, operated by the Duarte brothers. If Javier is there - he has perfect English - he will explain to you how they study the wave formations for a) launching the Hobie Cats and b) bringing them back onshore, without flipping them over. They have 17 years experience at this and they always get me away safely. My Hobie 16 is the one pictured in my avatar.
I'm sure Miguel, at the Viceroy, and Jose'Luis at the IntraWest would also help you with this.
