If you are walking: Go over the footbridge over the entrace to the lagoon. Turn right and wak 4 or 5 blocks to the Lazaro Cardenas statue/intersection and turn left====
If driving: drive from downtown Z around the lagoon to the Lazaro Cardenas statue/intersection and turn right====
Note: You are now entering the Colonia La Noria.
======From the statute/insection go one block and turn right then follow this street for one block and turn to the left (you don't have a choice, there is no intersection, the street simply turns left)and go up about one block to the large warehouse building on your right (it is easy to see being the only non-residential building). Go inside this building and you will find several small cafes serving a multitude of native dishes from breakfast to late afternoon.
Don't worry about your Spainish skills, these are very friendly and understanding people. Just look and point and shake your head, Yes.
Safety is a non-issue.

You'll go right past the Boathouse on the corner just before you get to the aforementioned destination.
