Mexican Work Permit

Does anyone know the process of getting a work permit for Mexico without already have a job offer? I have looked for the info online and at the government sites and it's not very clear.

I would like to move to Mexico and while i have plenty of savings, i wouldn't mind getting a part time job just for something to do and a little extra spending money. (i know the pay wouldn't be much, but that's hardly the point).

I appreciate all sincere responses.

You will find it nearly impossible to get a work permit for the type of work you are talking about. Work for foreigners is limited to something they are specifically, and uniquely qualified. Something the average National can not do on the same level.

If you are married to a Mexican citizen or have Mexican children it is a different story...

Hardly the question. Save your pleas for the courtroom

When I came here and got my mexican visa with a work permit I already had to have a job in place before the visa and permit were issued.

btw you now have to apply for the visa in the United States, and can't start the process here in Zihua like you used to be able to.

Everything changes. When I applied for my FM whatever, because it turned out to be a RESIDENTE TEMPORAL, they asked me if I wanted a work visa to which I replied "You must be kidding. I don't want to work". Seems as though it depends on who you talk to and where, what the rules are.

One comes to Mexico to live it up. To learn, to explore it,to share your expertise, to enjoy what it offers, to do what makes you happy, to be free from the routine and schedules, to help, to give work to those who need it.

You already worked and have savings to prove it.

Don´t work too much. You may regret it

Have lots of FUN
