La Canícula
Someone asked me back in May or June what the weather would be like in July, and I said hot without much rain. In case you've ever wondered why that's so even in the middle of the rainy season, it's because of a meteorological phenomenon we affectionately call La Canícula (because there are a lot of less affectionate terms we use, too).
