We are going to be driving to Patzcuaro and would like any suggestions for a hotel that has secured parking for our vehicle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

I would highly recommend Hotel Casa Encantada. They have a secure lot across the street from the hotel. Easy walking distance to all of the squares. Just stayed there in May.

We like San Rafael, as well as Mansion Iturbe which is also right on the square. San Rafael units look out onto a charming sort of courtyard, and also on the parking area. Iturbe has individual balconies that look out on the square- neat to see all the early morning walkers, joggers, dog walkers, etc. Parking is just down the street. Parking for both is very secure.

The large Posada de Don Vasco is a few blocks from the main squares, but it has excellent secured parking. There is a good restaurant in the facility as well as virtually any other desired service. The colonial rooms in the old main building are quite charming, and the grounds are extensive. It is part of the Best Western system so reservations, payments, and the like are quite straight forward.

We have stayed there a couple of times and enjoyed the stay. I love the gardens.

Thanks for suggestions and the comments. It's great to have a selection and have personal experiences.
We may to to Uruapan. Does anybody have any recommendation for places to stay in Uruapan?

We really liked the Hotel Mansion del Cupatitzio. It is right at the upper gate to the National Park. It is a bit more expensive than some but the older rooms with the tall ceilings and balconies face the park so that you can hear the "singing waters" at night. The restaurant, gardens, and pool are also very nice.

I thought this Hotel was one of the prettiest I have ever stayed at. The gardens and grounds are fabulous. And it's right at the entrance to the park. Have the Trout across from the hotel.
